Kessler Mountain Jam
Event InformationNEW!!! Fayetteville Parks & Recreation along with Experience Fayetteville will host the Kessler Mountain Jam, a mountain bike festival at the Kessler Mountain Regional Park on November 3-4, 2018. Formerly hosted in Bentonville as the Slaughter Pen Jam, Kessler Mountain Jam will be family friendly and feature live music, food, and much more. The event will offer multiple race opportunities, including a cross country race that is part of the Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series (AMBCS).

Cross Country Race
Sunday will feature the USAC sanctioned Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series (AMBCS) cross country race! An annual USAC License or one-day License is mandatory. AMBCS Hard Plates are also required for the cross country race. More details on the registration site linked below.

Cross Country Race Schedule (Sunday, November 4, 2018):
7:00am – 9:30am: Registration / Packet Pick Up
8:00am: Junior Race Start
9:05am: Cat 3 Race Start
10:10am: Cat 1 & 2 Race Start
11:30am Awards Party: Food, Beer, Live Music
Saturday’s events will include an endure race featuring two of the best lines on Kessler Mountain! Enduro racing combines many aspects of mountain bike disciplines such as the endurance of cross country, the technical features of downhill, and adaptability to varying terrain. The Funduro race will follow standard enduro race format and rules, but is not a USAC sanctioned event. The race will be a best of two runs format. Shuttles will take riders to the top of each run which are Chinkapin Oak and Crazy Mary. Registration is $30 (includes event t-shirt and shuttles) --- opening late August.
Limited to 50 participants! Price increases October 3.
Funduro Race Schedule (Saturday, November 3, 2018):
8:30am-9:30am: FunDuro Practice
9:45am: FunDuro Pre-Race Meeting
5:00pm-8:00pm - Jam Session: Funduro Awards, Food, Beer, Live Music
Ladies Ride Clinics
Saturday will feature two ladies ride clinics, provided by certified instructors from Roots Mountain Biking. Whether fairly new to mountain biking or looking to improve skills for a specific type of mountain bike riding and racing, we have options for all. Each clinic will consist of instruction and a group ride. Elements of focus will include body positioning, bike and body separation, braking, pedal position, wheel lifts, and cornering.
Registration is $30 (includes event t-shirt) --- opening late August.
Limited to 8 participants per clinic! Price increases October 3.
