Kessler Mountain Jam
Event InformationFayetteville Parks & Recreation will host the Kessler Mountain Jam, a cross country race that is part of the Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series (AMBCS) in the heat of the summer at Kessler Mountain. The weekend will also feature mountain biking instructional clinics for women and foodie themed greenway rides!
When: August 8-9, 2020
Where: Kessler Mountain Regional Park
Registration is available online until August 7.
Saturday will consist of social and instructional opportunities. Sunday will consist of the AMBCS cross-country race.
Cross Country Race
USAC sanctioned Arkansas Mountain Bike Championship Series (AMBCS) cross country race! An annual USAC License or one-day License is mandatory. AMBCS Hard Plates are also required for the cross country race. Pre-riding and an evening social will take place on Saturday afternoon.
Two women's ride clinics will be offered at Kessler Mountain Jam. Each clinic will consists of instruction and a group ride. Elements of focus will include body positioning, bike and body separation, braking, pedal position, wheel lifts, and cornering. Each clinic will be two hours in length and led by certified BICP instructors.

9:00pm-11:00am: Intermediate Clinic

In partnership with Experience Fayetteville, Kessler Mountain Jam will offer three different foodie themed rides along the Razorback Greenway, starting and finishing at the Mile 0 trailhead at the park. These will be 5-10 miles (round trip) in distance and include a stop(s) for some delicious local food. FREE (the food/drink you purchase is on you), but pre-registration is required through our online registration. Tacos, Pizza, Ice Cream; which is your favorite?
If you are looking to get involved, we have plenty of opportunities for you such as event set up, participant check in, timing assistants and course monitors.
